On May 3, Marketer opened a new office in the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta. Stein Zahl, the Country Manager & VP Sales APAC at Marketer is now situated at the office with our newest team members; Agatha Meydiana Febry Thio and Winson Sasonko Purnomo. They have just finished their first week at Marketer, and have already booked their first meetings.

“This is the perfect time to be present locally, as developers and agencies are seeing the importance of digital marketing. We are now in a position to be at the forefront of setting the standard for the digital future of the Indonesian real estate market”, says Stein Zahl.

A brief introduction

Winson has worked within real estate for five years, and has broad knowledge within the industry. He previously worked for the leading Indonesian real estate developer, Ciputra, as a digital marketing manager. Winson is currently pursuing a Masters degree in the field Information Technology, focusing on AI, machine learning, and decision support. He is a Customer Success Manager at Marketer, and will be in charge of the onboarding process, as well as acquiring new customers.

“It never fails to amaze me how extensive Marketer’s package of digital marketing solutions is, and I wanted to be a part of that marketing universe”, says Winson about his new role at Marketer.

Agatha has worked in the real estate industry since 1998, having roles within business development to becoming a director of Indoproperty Real Estate. In 2009 she decided to start her own real estate agency, which expanded to 30 franchise offices spread out around Indonesia. She is now a Business Development Manager at Marketer, and as she has vast experience with real estate agencies, that will be her main focus area.

“I’ve experienced how fast the real estate landscape has changed lately, and I wanted to be a part of that digital transformation in the industry, which is how I came across this rocketship of a company”, says Agatha about starting at Marketer.

How has the first week been at Marketer’s office in Indonesia?

“It’s been a unique experience, and the onboarding process has been really good - above all expectations. I really see how Marketer’s product fills a big gap in the industry”, comments Winson.

“Very exciting! It’s just the kind of dynamic environment I like to work in. I have learned so much already, and have had so many nice greetings from people in the company”, says Agatha.

How do you think Marketers technology will change the way agents and developers do digital marketing?

“From my point of view, the real estate industry in Indonesia has entered a very exciting period. I believe about 70% of the agencies and developers are aware that they have to be open to new technology in order to meet demand and grow further, but they need guidance and assistance to do so. That is why this is the perfect time to enter the market” Agatha concludes.

Winson nods his head in agreement, and talks about how the developers have really opened their eyes to digital marketing lately, and adjusted their business model accordingly. “They call it digital transformation, and that is where Marketer can come in and set the standard. Some companies use digital marketing solutions, but it is not nearly as comprehensive as Marketer’s technology”.

Last but not least, can you tell me a fun fact about yourself?

Agatha laughs and says she already know what hers is. "I have four birds at home that are very noisy, and they always want to join in on meetings. It's surprisingly easy to teach them new tricks, and playing basketball is one of them".

"I am a huge football enthusiast! I play quite often myself, and I always imagine that I am a professional player training for a big match. My favourite club is Manchester City", Winson says with a smile on his face.
