- Our Team
Hi, my name is Vincent. I’m from Førde in the western part of Norway, but I’ve lived in Oslo for almost 6 years. I joined Marketer this month, and already feel like a part of the team.
I’ve always been very interested in business and how trends develop, which is one reason why I ended up with a master degree in Business Administration from NHH. After this I moved to Oslo, and started my career at EVRY (now TietoEVRY). I had several different roles within the company, and have had result and personnel responsibilities for the last 3 years, working mainly within emerging technology, automation, robotics, and security. I was able to start my own department in the company as well, where I got to experience a start-up vibe which I really enjoyed.
What made you want to work with Marketer?
After being with the same company for 6 years, I wanted new challenges. I was very interested in Marketer as it is a young and fresh company with a growth culture and lots of potential. They’re also leaders in their field, and have a lot of new, exciting projects going on. The fact that we don't know exactly where the company is in 3 years, is for me an exciting feeling.
What is your role at Marketer?
My role as Chief Operating Officer implies a broad range of responsibility, with the most important being to ensure that all operations and client deliveries in the company run smoothly at all times. If I were to explain it in short, it would be: to close the gap between strategy and action. I will make sure that we’re implementing the correct processes and activities to reach our overall goals. In a growing phase like Marketer is in now, it’s important to have the right capabilities to scale up, which in the end means structure and governance for how we deliver and follow up on the daily activities.
What do you do outside of work?
Well, in 2020… a lot less compared to normal, hehe. But I’m very interested in football, which has been a passion since I was young. I used to play quite seriously back then. The passion is still there, but the training has unfortunately not stayed at the same level. Other than that, I have a beautiful girlfriend I'm spending a lot of time with, and I'm a true foodie.
Since Nicolay mentioned that he must be one of the top whistlers in Norway, I’ll open my heart and let you know that I cannot whistle at all. I don’t know what went wrong, I was just never able to learn it when I was younger, and I am still unable to make it work.
